HEALTH is about learning how to live.
So hang on.  Mr. Nelson is about to take you on a tour of  LIFE ON THE EDGE.
First stop - Find your "edge" and sharpen it.  (Goal Setting)
Second - Step into dreamland.  (Dream Big)
Third - Your BRAIN - (Vehicle to your future)
Fourth - Kids & drugs!  Endorphins are drugs 10X's stronger than morphine.  (And these drugs are natural & have NO side effects!!)

Parents
Thank you for taking an interest in your child's health class.
It is well documented that, even if they don't tell you, parents are the biggest influence on their children.  (EVEN TEENAGERS!)

Your participation in our assignments is critical to getting the most out of them.  I thank you in advance for your help and cooperation.

Check the PARENTS PLACE page for other helpful information for parents.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

STUDENTS: Keep and eye out here for some of your work or a picture of you at work.

You never know when you might show up "ON THE WEB".

MY MISSION

Spark Plug, Spinning

A favorite song of mine says, "It only takes spark to get a fire going."  MY MISSION is to help energize my students to create the spark they need to light the fire for their future.

As I interact with a student I will patiently listen fully to what they are trying to say.
I will draw out of them the positive qualities that each student has.
I will keep their dignity and mine in tact by  showing compassion for them.
They will know they are important to me.
I will have high expectations for each student.  I will be the first to confront them and the first to congratulate and celebrate with them.
I will have fun and show them I am having fun with them.
We will enjoy learning together.
